Trine University has announced an exciting new addition to their international graduate school offerings – a Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) degree program. Launching in spring 2024 at their Detroit Education Center, this hybrid doctoral program is designed to equip students to address high-level organisational challenges using the latest advancements in information technology.

The program’s authentic curriculum

With a curriculum focusing on real-world business scenarios, students will evaluate emerging technologies and identify industry challenges that can be solved with innovative IT applications. Coursework covers a range of key topics, including information systems management, application development, and the strategic management of technology. Like many of Trine’s courses, the teaching format is dynamic, incorporating simulations, seminars, an applied research project, and face-to-face residencies. Graduates of the DIT program will gain expertise in assessing how current and new technologies can be maximised to meet business needs, formulate solutions to technology issues, and communicate strategies to stakeholders.

The DIT joins Trine University's Master's degree programs at their Detroit Education Center campus, which already enrols over 5,000 graduate students.
